Guangdong's TCM ready to enter world market

Guangdong Economic and Trade Commission has drawn up a blueprint for the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the next five years.

By 2010, Guangdong will develop 5 to 8 new modern TCM of their own intellectual properties. 2 to 3 TCM drugs will pass the requirement of International Organization for Standardization and enter the international medicine market.

Guangdong will restructure the TCM industry and cultivate 10 leading medicine companies.

Guangdong hopes to be the base of modern TCM industry by perfecting the central system of the industry, solving the key problems that restrict its modernization and making full use of Guangdong's medicine resources.
