In order to broaden the international trade channels of foreign business and trade in Dongguan, especially agriculture products, and promote local enterprises to "go global", Dongguan Supply Chain Innovation & "Belt and Road" Business Promotion Conference was held on 10th July. The conference was attended by Mr. Zhang Guanzi (Deputy Myor of Dongguan), the Dongguan Supply Chain Innovation Strategic Alliance, Mr. Leonid Ivanovich (Consul General of Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Guangzhou), Ms. Jelena Vasilevna (Minister of Economic Innovation of the Minsk Region of Belarus), and an international trade delegation consisting of large agricultural products group leaders from Kazakhstan, Russia, Georgia and other countries.

Mr. Leonid Ivanovich said that trade between Belarus and China is growing, with the scope of cooperation expanding not only in business, but also in academia and science. Currently, Belarus has established more than 300 agreements with various universities across China. The Great Stone Industrial Park, an important investment cooperation project between China and Belarus, has also become an iconic project of the "Belt and Road" under the joint efforts of the two countries. He believed that China and Belarus will continue to build win-win situations in the future. He also encouraged Chinese enterprises to pursue active cooperation in Belarus.

Mr. Zhang Guanzi explained that as a famous manufacturing city in China, Dongguan has a solid foundation and broad prospects for cooperation with "Belt and Road" countries. At present, the total foreign trade volume of Dongguan has exceeded 1.3 trillion RMB, and its comprehensive competitiveness ranks among the top three in China. It is also a pilot city for China's supply chain innovation and application as well as a comprehensive pilot district for cross-border electronic commerce. China-Euro trains run through several countries, making trade and exchange convenient. In the future, Dongguan will take full advantage of its' geographical location and actively cooperate with other countries to seek win-win situations.

During the conference, the Consul General of the Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Guangzhou explained the current environment of cooperation and development between Kyrgyzstan and China in economy and trade. He also outlined the investment environment as well as the import and export trade policy of Kyrgyzstan. Ms. Jelena Vasilevna introduced the investment environment, the preferential import and export trade policies of Belarus, and the high quality agricultural resources Belarus had to offer. Mr. Cai Kang (Director of Bureau of Commerce in Dongguan City) made a theme promotion during the conference, outlining the economy and trade development of Dongguan, along with the advantageous preferential policies supporting international economic and trade.

The delegation also visited and researched the SPAR supermarket in Dongcheng, Win. 1 Group in Daojiao, SPAR Logistics Distribution Centre in Hongmei, Dongguan Lingnan Group, Zeny Supply Chain (Dongguan) Company, and Humen Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone.
