Gree-made central air-conditioners led the domestic market for the seventh consecutive year, according to the Report on Development of the China Central Air-Conditioning Market 2018 released by HVACR News recently.

With market share of 15.5 percent, Gree Electric Appliances overshadowed McQuay (4.22 percent) and Daikin (12.52 percent), which are dominant European-American and Japanese-Korean brands.

Gree's performance is considered exceptional even when judged by a single category, with the market shares of the multi-split (the most popular air-conditioner type in 2018), unitary, and modular air conditioners recorded respectively at 13.7 percent, 35.8 percent, and 12.5 percent.

Gree is headquartered in Qianshan of Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai.
