China whitewashed Jordan three sets to love for an easy opening victory at the Women's Volleyball World Championship Asia zone qualifying tournament.

The Olympic champions showed their strength with a score of 25-4, 25-3 and 25-9.

In another match of the day, the Australian team, coached by former Chinese international Jiang Ying, upset Uzbekistan 3-0.

China will take on Australia in Friday's match.
